Any organizations out there interested in helping abused animals in third world countries?
I live in the Philippines and it is not easy being a dog lover here.The number of stray, pin-thin, mangy dogs roaming the streets is horrendous. "Pounds" are cruel, they euthanize dogs through electrocution! Even the Manila Zoo is horrible! Rat infested and the animals like lions, bears haven't any pools to swim in. We have a local Animal welfare society but they are just not enough to help all the animals. I recently adopted a dog off the streets. He was full of scabies, anemic, had demodex mites, swollen lymph nodes, and was in poor shape. I nursed him to health (plus a lot of vet bills) and now he is a beautiful 6 month old doggie, companion to my nine year old minipin. I just want to know if there is any organization out there that would be willing to do something to help! I can only do so much on my own.

I'm not part of an organization but I can offer some advice... I'm sure you are not the only one in the Philippines or even your local area who feels this way. Talk to people. Set up things on the internet such as a Philippines animal welfare myspace page. Write to your government and state your concerns about the welfare of the animals. If you can gather enough people you may be able to start a little organization. It will be pricey and it may have to start out small. Just getting a few animals neutered and rabies may be a good start.

Where to find gun ranges in Metro Manila
Where to find gun ranges in Metro Manila?
Hello guys, I would like to ask if there are gun ranges either outdoor or indoor here in metro manila? do they allow gun rental to those customers who are not gun owners? for example I want to practice shooting and all I have is enough money to buy rounds for practice and I don't own a gun, will the gun range let me rent a gun for practice? if yes, where can I find that gun range? Please Help. Thank you. and by the way, I am a Registered Nurse here in the Philippines. 23.. thanks again -Christian from the Philippines

can anybody help me in terms of my college course about medicine
can anybody help me in terms of my college course about medicine?
im actually going to be a freshmen college student and im really confuse what course to take. actually i already too nursing in the entrance exam of de la salle lipa and passed it. one of my dream is to take medicine and they said that if ill go with nursing and finished it in 4 yrs. i can continue it in to medicine but im wondering what should i specifically med course should i take after nursing? and if its good for me to take my med course in the manila? plss help!!

Medicine and nursing are completely different. I'm not sure what you mean by "taking medicine" but if you want to go to medical school, there are prerequisite classes you will have to take and do well in before you can apply (two semesters of biology and a lab, two semesters of general chemistry and a lab, two semesters of organic chemistry and a lab, two semesters of physics and a lab, genetics, biochemistry, etc.). Getting a degree in nursing will not help you get into medical school. Nursing and medicine have very different approaches to taking care of patients. If you want to go into nursing then get the nursing degree. But if you want to go into medicine, getting a nursing degree is not going to help you at all, so I would get a degree in something else, like biology or chemistry.

Are there physicians, nurses, health care providers or clients out there who knows??? If there is a Genetic Counseling in the Philippines, where in the Philippines? how much does it cost?
