How long should I wait from the time the canadian embassy here in manila request for my passport?

I suggest that you call them or pay them a visit and ask them, They should give this information and tell you.

Many reasons for long processing time. Backlog, background checks, red tape. If they did not give you a time frame, you may inquire at their listed numbers. Try calling after the holy week.
